The Reverend Dr. Patricia Lee Miller is the new Interim Rector at St. James. She has been an Episcopal priest since 1997 and has a Doctorate of Ministry and a Master of Science in Nursing; she has served as parish priest and four times as an interim priest or rector. She is a United States Air Force veteran and retired at the rank of Colonel.

The Rev. Megan Swett completed her M.Div. degree at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in May 0f 2023 and, in June, was ordained in the Diocese of Atlanta. Her home parish is Church of the Epiphany in Atlanta, and she served as seminarian at Holy Trinity Parish in Decatur throughout her time in school. Prior to embarking on the path of discernment for the priesthood, she had a career in philanthropy and non-profit management. In that work she focused on ways to connect people who possess philanthropic resources and inclination to the organizations addressing the issues and priorities they were passionate about in an effort to make their communities more equitable and vibrant.
