Holy Comforter  Episcopal Church  is a mission congregation in Southeast Atlanta, composed of and ministering to poverty level mentally ill folks residing in government-subsidized, community-based group homes.

In addition to Sunday morning and Wednesday evening church services and Wednesday evening supper, day programs are offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Friendship Center.
Breakfast and lunch are served to 100 to 140 persons every Tuesday and Thursday.

All are given the opportunity to create works of art or woodworking, to do gardening or work in the greenhouse, to play bingo, or simply to drink coffee and visit.  Vans transport folks from the group homes.  Others arrive on foot or by MARTA. Morning and Noonday prayer and singing are offered each Tuesday and Thursday.

If you would like to help when the Center is open, can drive a van on Tuesday or Thursday morning or Wednesday evening, or would just like to meet the wonderful people and share in a powerful worship service, contact Father Mike Tanner at 404 /627-6510 or talk to me at 678/354-6776.
