September 7 - First Acolyte Meeting in the Chapel
All Saints Sunday - New Acolytes are introduced to the congregation
Advent 1 - New Acolytes serve for the fist time.

The Acolyte Program at St. James' offers our youth an opportunity to become an active participant and an important part of our liturgical worship on Sundays and other special days of celebration throughout the year. The program at St. James' is open to all young persons, third grade through high school, who are baptized Christians. For more information, call our Associate Rector, The Rev. Raymond Gotko.
The Book of Common Prayer states, "at all celebrations of the liturgy, it is fitting that the principal celebrant, whether bishop or priest, be assisted by other priests, and by deacons and lay persons". (BCP, 322) We are very proud of our Acolyte program at St. James'. This is an important ministry that provides the opportunity for our children and youth to serve at the altar.
