***Show Notice***: Polk
Street Players continues its 31st season with “Mystery at
Greenfingers” by J.B. Priestley. Directed
by Tina Powell, this comic homage to the classic whodunnit finds a
hotel staff, a couple of visitors, and a bumbling detective stranded
due to a violent snowstorm outside and a room full of secrets inside. The show runs from April 30 through May 15. For more information about the show and

We've
been called "the best kept secret in Cobb County."
However,
Polk Street Players has been offering top quality theatre productions
for 30+ years! We continue to grow and evolve with each
season. As word spreads about the Stellar Cellar and Polk Street
Players, we will continue to attract a greater variety of talented
actors, directors, and audiences from the metro Atlanta area and beyond.
Polk
Street Players presents plays of all kinds-comedies, dramas, farces and
thrillers. Our production diversity and our well-respected
directors allow us to attract actors from within our Parish and from
the metro Atlanta theatre community. Our goal is to give our
audiences the best entertainment at the lowest cost. Any profit
is applied to improvements in the theatre and various church programs.
Formed in
May, 1979, Polk Street Players is a community theatre group sponsored
by the St. James’ Episcopal Church in Marietta, Georgia. We
constructed our cozy Stellar Cellar theatre in the church basement in
1982. The theater was totally renovated during the summer of
2006. Our 66 seats provide our audiences with an intimate venue
to watch our plays. You will feel like a part of the action, and
this feeling will persist after each performance as the audience has
the opportunity to meet the performers!
